A new $5 billion NSW government program (WestInvest) will fund transformational infrastructure projects across Western Sydney, home to one of the fastest growing and most diverse populations in the nation.
These projects will improve the liveability of communities and support economic recovery, making a real difference to the quality of life in 15 eligible local government areas and one is us - Cumberland LGA. The WestInvest Community Project Grants – Competitive Round will provide around $1.6 billion in funding for community projects.
The program is designed to deliver transformational change across key focus areas including community infrastructure that improves access to quality sport, recreation and other community facilities that bring people together and enable a diverse range of activities.
Due to the wet weather and all council sportsgrounds are closed we have not been able to hold team placement sessions as scheduled. Alternative arrangements have been organised for indoor sessions, at the Hills Indoor Sports Centre, so our kids can kick the ball around while the coaches and managers organise their teams.
