Greystanes FC congratulates Anita on becoming a life member at last year’s AGM, and thank her for her tireless work and dedication to the Club and it’s members.
Anita's longstanding dedication to the club, and the time and effort put in by her, is and has been extraordinary.
Anita joined the club in 2000 and has held the following Committee Positions:
Soulmates John and Dorothy Overton celebrate their golden wedding anniversary at the end of July, 2010. They married at St Anne's in 1960, had three sons and have been part of the Merrylands/Greystanes community since. John, 72, commented that he didn't feel any different to when he was 21 and Dorothy, 70, said their relationship was based on understanding. Soulmates. John is grateful to still be enjoying married life “It’s very good, because at one stage I didn’t think I’d get this (50 years) with my medical problems,” he said.
As GSC's first secretary, John helped establish Greystanes Soccer Club 40 years ago and the year 2000 was awarded an Australian Sports Medal for outstanding involvement for over 25 years service (pictured in 2010).

Vale John OvertonIt is with great sadness and regret that we advise the passing of Greystanes FC life member, Mr John Overton.
John was one of four founding members of Greystanes Soccer Club (Greystanes FC) and the first club treasurer.
A funeral was held at Pinegrove Cemetery, Kington Street, Minchinbury (NSW, Australia) on Tuesday 15/01/2013 at 3pm.
We join with all club members and extend to his family our most sincere condolences.
